As reported earlier, famous Kollywood director Selvaraghavan roped in Allu Arjun for a bilingual movie very recently. Well now, the latest reports confirm that the director has signed in Anushka for the lady lead role in this flick owing to her immense reputation in both Kollywood and Tollywood industreis along with her ability to handle both Telugu and Tamil languages. New Delhi, June 5 (IANS) Actress Trisha Krishnan, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Khatta Meetha', is urging people to adopt homeless dogs in new advertisement for animal activist group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India.

In the ad she appears with a rescued dog named Bambi, who was tormented by a group of schoolboys before being rescued by a passing motorist.

The ad, shot by ace photographer G. Venket Ram, reads, 'Be an Angel: Adopt a Homeless Dog', encouraging people to adopt a dog from an animal shelter or the streets.

Krishnan also revealed her own story of how she rescued her dog, Cadbury, from the streets.

'I found him ... in Hyderabad (while) I was shooting for a film. We were just driving past, and we saw this small little puppy who was wounded ... and he couldn't walk, and he was lying in the rain,' said Trisha.

Cadbury received medical care and now is a part of her family. 'He came back home with me ... and he is like the son I never had,' she said.

Her maiden Kannada film, the Puneet Rajkumar-starrer Jackie, was one of the few Sandalwood flicks in the recent past to set BO registers ringing.

And now Bhavana hopes to maintain her good track record with her next Kannada project, an untitled film with Sudeep that was previously called Vishnuvardhana.

In her new movie, Bhavana plays "a bubbly girl named Bharati" who is the wife of Sudeep's character, Vishnu. Does she know if the film bears any resemblance to the life of the late Vishnuvardhan, which is supposedly why the title was changed? "This is a work of fiction and is total entertainment," maintains the actress, adding that she doesn't know much about the title war. "I kept asking the producer why the film shoot was getting postponed. Then he told me that there was some problem with the title and that he was trying to sort it out. I don't know much about the matter, so I can't really comment on it," she says.
